Purpose 

The Manx Blue Carbon Working Group ensures a connected, inclusive, and holistic approach to understanding and managing the blue carbon in and around the Isle of Man, bringing together organisations from a range of sectors and disciplines.

The group meet quarterly to share knowledge, and to provide expert guidance and advice to the Manx Blue Carbon Project.

Membership

Membership is based on having expertise or interest in blue carbon and marine management in the Isle of Man's Territorial Sea, with representation across the following key sectors:

• Business, the blue economy, and marine innovation
• Climate change
• Fisheries and fisheries management
• Marine biodiversity and nature conservation
• Science and research
• Spatial planning, seabed and marine infrastructure management

Organisations interested in applying to join the Manx Blue Carbon Working Group are asked to read the Group Terms of Reference, before contacting the Project Team.
